Family Vacation

There is so much to update you all on with the Fernandez family. I will try to cover a few of the topics here.

First, we went on a family vacation to visit the Fernandez grandparents (and tia) in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The trip was so much fun! We went walking in downtown Stuart, a cute area that has a pier over a river with jumping fish! Enrique loved it! And smelling that wonderful brackish water just calms the soul.

We also took the boys to the beach. Enrique loved it. He was a bit nervous when he first approached the crashing waves, but soon gave in to reckless abandon (holding his father's hand for safety, of course) and giggled as the waves crashed first against his feet, then his torso. He did not care much for the salt water taste in his mouth, though. Moises liked the water, but enjoyed the sand more. I had to carry him quite a bit to keep him from eating the sand!

Most importantly, we spent time with the grandparents, aunt, and Jose's cousin, Manolo. They were able to spoil their "babies." The grandparents even babysat one evening so that Jose and I could go out to a movie :-) And the night that the grandparents babysat was the first night that Moises slept through the night. Perhaps they gave him a sedative (hahaha--just kidding).
